Surefire way to get me annoyed with people: go browsing Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace. Amazing how incompetent the photography is.
If you’re bad at photos, take more of them, not fewer.
This looks like a pretty cool Radwood-friendly convertible, but I guess I’ll never know how cool it might look because the photos are so damned bad and so damned few.

Addendum : similarly awful Cherokee photography.

This shot:
People who take this shot, should be shot. Get what you are taking a photo of in frame, either by going out for a wider shot, or going in for a detail shot. This helps no one, unless you taking a zillion pics. Bonus points if you are taking this terrible shot because you want to hide your license plate and can’t be assed to edit the pic, or even just stick a finger over it (I don’t think that’s what’s happen here though).
But really you’re right, pictures are basically free these days. If you can’t bother to spend a few minutes taking photos and posting them, why should anyone bother with your ad?

That Cherokee looks like a great deal, see that huge wood-styled aftermarket cargo area it appears to have installed?

The Saab looks interesting, SPG body kit and wheels, plus that high gloss machinery gray paint and orange emblems. I’d like photos of that black Imperial too.

at first I thought maybe they took that picture to show that they somehow smashed up that side of the body but going and looking at the ad I can't decide if they're lazy or just don't know they're doing (or both..)

Better than the single vertical screenshot of a horizontal photo taken in the dark I see all too often, but wish there was more of the Saab to see.

Like this one? Maddening. This is the only photo.

How to photograph a car in three easy steps:
Step one: get close and hold camera vertically
Step two: get closer, no, closer. CLOSER!
Step three: close your eyes and snap.
A asy.

Yes that SAAB IS BAD ASS you need it!
Source: I recently bought a 1998 SAAB convertible. It’s awesome.

I just found an XJ I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy, but it does look like it could be fun. I love convertibles.

Another fun thing when a background car (the Imperial) catches my eye as much or more than the car for sale (Saab).

Yupp!
When looking for my car I had the same experience. I didn’t expect Larry Chen’s level of brilli
ance, but p
eople asking 29,000€ for their classic car and yet only half of it was visible in the pictures?! Dark interior shots taken in the garage?! Images from different events made over time so you don’t know what the car looks like right now.
Combine that with stuff that doesn’t add up in the description, poor grammar and I came to the conclusion that some people obviously don’t want to sell. ;-)
But that’s good for me I guess. If I ever had to sell I know how to NOT make an ad.

Posting crappy/not-enough pics just serves to tease the car. Why attract people who won’t end up buying it? I’d want to provide as much info as possible so that nobody wastes my time contacting me -or worse, wastes time coming out to look at the car- unless they’re 99% sure they want to buy it.
